While others build the AI, we are building the soil it will grow in.
Junema is a life hub for families, built in Belgium. This page is for those who want to understand the project: partners, investors, journalists.
A family's life is scattered across dozens of apps: one for vaccines, one for the calendar, one for groceries, one for money. None of them talk to each other. And most live off advertising, that is, off their users' data. Meanwhile, general-purpose AI assistants know everything about the world and nothing about your household. Every conversation starts from scratch.
Junema brings a family's health, home and finances together in one place: a mobile application, sober, ad-free. At the heart of the product: a conversational assistant who knows the household. You talk to her, she writes in the right place: an expense in the accounts, a weigh-in in the health book, a reminder in the calendar. She works in French, Dutch and English. Three choices set her apart from general-purpose assistants: she only knows the user's household, she never acts toward the outside world (no payment, no message sent), and the user controls, drawer by drawer, what she can see. Junema plugs into the tools already in place rather than replacing them: Google Calendar syncs in both directions, the watch is read through Health Connect. Adopting Junema requires no migration.
The application is free. The assistant is optional, by subscription. This choice aligns the interests: Junema is funded by its users, not by their data. No advertising, no resale, no profiling. Families' data is hosted in the European Union.
The product is built and works: a native mobile application (iPhone and Android), an operational trilingual assistant, voice included. Junema is currently in closed beta with its first households, by choice: we prefer to season the product in depth before opening it. Next come the opening via the waiting list, then the first subscriptions. We communicate milestones reached, not promised dates.
Junema is a product of studio L'iartisan, founded by Jérôme François, in Belgium. The reference household is the founder's own: two parents, children, animals, a house, and the real need that brought the product to life. Junema was not born in a brainstorm: she was born at a kitchen table. The studio works like a craftsman: one piece at a time, made by hand, owned from start to finish.
Junema already covers family life beyond organization: a family tree, well-being, the learning of languages and of hand-written passions, narrative entertainment. What comes next is mapped out: a closed social circle (real loved ones, never strangers) and a family tree that links up between families, with everyone's explicit consent. The same logic will extend to the household's other tools: energy, the bank, the connected home. An ecosystem each family assembles, connection by connection, where Junema keeps her role: she files and informs, she does not act on the user's behalf. We announce milestones reached, not dates.
